About Kai | Qualified German Teacher

My name is Kai Gehann. Since 2018, I have been teaching German and English as a foreign language full-time and have gained a wealth of experience in the industry.

I have had the privilege of teaching people from over 50 different countries in group courses and private lessons at levels from A1 to C2. In addition to general German and English, I have prepared foreign veterinarians for their veterinary medical language exam, taught German occupational therapy students English for their profession, and delivered business German and English in finance and data security.

I have given language courses at language schools and universities and taught employees at various companies such as clinics, architecture firms, or steel construction companies.

Between 2020 and 2023, I built the online language school DaF-Collective together with some colleagues.

I have also been involved in teacher training since 2020.

What I enjoy most after all these experiences is teaching in very specific professional contexts. I love exploring together with you the exact language that is relevant for your individual situation.

With the founding of 1zu1Deutsch in early 2024, I specialized in this individualized type of German teaching. There is no off-the-shelf instruction with me. My lessons are fundamentally tailored to the people I work with.

In my free time, I spend a lot of time with yoga and bodywork/massage. Apart from that, my interests are quite diverse, ranging from hiking and traveling to working with wood and in the garden to music.
